Letter to My Daughter – March 2013

Dear Daughter,

It’s clear you are going to be a caregiver in some part of your life.  You are so intuitive to your brother’s needs.  Often anticipating in advance that he needs (water or a snack or his blanket).  It’s amazing to watch you comfort him when he’s upset and use some of the techniques that we used on you when you were that little 🙂  You have a special bond with each other, that is becoming clear.

When your brother was home sick this month, I kept you home as well.  It seemed to comfort him knowing you were there with him.

This month daddy went on a trip for a few days and you really missed him.  But when he returned, he took you out for dinner and you got to spend some quality time with him.  You talked and told him about school.

Some of your favorites this month:

Painting, Casper the Friendly Ghost and Horseland cartoons and mini corn dogs (for about 15 minutes) 🙂

Best friends are we, my brother and me…

Love,

Mommy
